What rights do I have as a passenger in case of delays or cancellations?
Continue via an alternative route
If you decide to continue your journey despite a delay or the cancellation of a service, you can do so using the next suitable connection or via an alternative route, without having to pay a higher fare.
Abandoning the journey
If you do not start your journey because its purpose cannot be fulfilled due to the delay or cancellation, the ticket price will be refunded in its entirety.

Auxiliary services are provided in case of delays of one hour or more
You have the right to meals and refreshments at a level proportionate to the waiting time as long as they are available on the vehicle or at the station or can be easily delivered.
Accommodation
If you are unable to reach your destination on the same day due to a cancellation or a delay, you are entitled to overnight accommodation as well as transport from the station to the hotel and back.
If a taxi ride is more reasonable, it will be granted.
Compensation will only be paid against original receipts.
Consequential damages
You are not entitled to compensation for consequential damages, for example if you miss a flight or a concert due to a delay or cancellation.
